Blog Series: Lessons from the Universe - My Journey with Horses and Personal Growth

Post 1: Embracing the Pause: A Lesson from June

Intro:

After an intense period, it's essential to take time to stop, slow down, look back, and breathe. Imagine watching your life like a movie, relaxed on your sofa, with your mind at ease. Now is my time to share my feelings and thoughts about my recent experiences, hoping my reflections encourage you to take a moment and look within. A lot has happened, so I'll share my journey through a series of posts over the next few days.

The Calm Before the Storm

June brought a significant lesson for me. Let me walk you through the events. At the end of June and the first weekend of July, I had two important horse events: a Parelli clinic with master Franco Giani and my EDL instructor course. I worked daily with Percha to prepare him for the saddle-up process, hoping Franco could assist with this delicate part of the process, and with Chenoa to showcase our progress during the instructor course.

Two weeks before Franco’s clinic, I was nervous and restless. The tasks seemed endless, and time felt insufficient. Internally, I was a bit hectic, and the more I felt this way, the more things kept popping up on my plate.

The Unexpected Illness

On a Saturday morning, I went out for some shopping and started to feel very sick. By the afternoon, I had a high fever and felt terrible. The week was crucial for training my horses, preparing for the clinics, and organizing my trip to France. Instead of feeling fit and energetic, I could barely move out of bed.

Days passed, the clinic approached, and I remained sick and bedridden. Anger and frustration welled up inside me. "Why now?!" I kept asking. On the third day, I realized I was resisting the situation instead of trusting the process. I reminded myself that everything happens for a reason. By day five, I managed to visit my horses briefly. Doubts about the Universe’s plans crept in.

Embracing the Slow Pace

On day six, I worked with my horses a little, despite the fatigue. The weather was lovely, and I often sat in my garden, sleeping on the sofa outside. In those moments of slight recovery, I did small household tasks, tidied up, cleaned, and gardened. One afternoon, while enjoying my garden's peaceful atmosphere, I felt a profound sense of calm and presence. The stress of the previous weeks melted away, and I finally understood the Universe's message: to enjoy every single moment that comes.

The Universe needed to stop me from getting hectic and slow me down drastically. It was a harsh lesson through sickness, but necessary. I thanked the Universe, took a deep breath, and absorbed the beautiful energy around me.

Rejuvenation and New Challenges

The clinic started, and by the second day, I was completely fit and full of energy. By day four, I felt transformed and rejuvenated. Returning to work, the Universe sent me another challenge: a severe back pain just days before my EDL instructor course. This time, I had no doubt about the Universe’s plans. Everything happens for a reason, to break old patterns and force us to see new paths.

Insights and Moving Forward

The back pain brought a new insight: I was stuck in something I didn't want. It was time to move on, cut ties with what no longer served me, and embrace the life I desired. Accepting this message wasn't easy, and the questions of "How and what am I going to do?" surfaced. First, I needed to clear my fears, and then the way forward would become clear.

There is a time for everything. My only job is to keep listening to myself and stay present in the moment. I hope you can do this too. Never let fears and doubts take over. Clear them out, listen to your inner guide, and you'll find all your answers there.

Conclusion

Stay tuned for more reflections and stories in the coming days. Let's embrace the journey together, learning from every twist and turn the Universe presents.
